Hello/Hola from Mexico!

My name is Mario Manzano, and I’ve recently started consulting for The DeBruce Foundation as a Technical Solutions Specialist.

These past few months getting to know the Foundation’s mission and helping further it have been a blast—especially thanks to working with such an amazing and welcoming team.

Before joining, I didn’t know anything about Agilities©, but discovering them has opened up new ways of exploring career paths and choices for me.

As a Software Developer, I lean heavily on two key Agilities: Working with Information and Innovating. These are the main Agilities I use in my career, from solving problems to creating new solutions, but they’re not the only ones I rely on daily.

Just like the changing seasons, our Agilities can evolve, too—whether you’re transitioning to a new role or diving into a completely different career.

Whether you’re already a master navigator or still trying to find your way out of the corn maze, discovering your Agilities can make career decisions a lot more fun and a lot less scary! In my experience, identifying my Agilities through the Agile Work Profiler© has not only confirmed my current career path, but it’s also given me new insights for the future!

We hope you enjoy this month’s newsletter as much as we at The DeBruce Foundation enjoyed creating it!

Positive changes in the employment landscape

We’re honored to share that the Agile Work Profiler, The DeBruce Foundation’s career assessment, was recently cited in the book, “Developing Talents: Careers for Individuals with Autism” by Dr. Temple Grandin and Kate Duffy.

In the book, the Agile Work Profiler is referenced in one of five “positive changes in the employment landscape for individuals on the autism spectrum” and described as a job and career mapping tool that is “free and aims to help individuals of all ages learn how their strengths can add value to the workforce.”

Here’s to expanding career pathways!

Advancing women’s empowerment

At United WE’s “We Work for Change” event, DeBruce Career Corps members had the opportunity to interview event keynote and ABC correspondent, Linsey Davis!

Together, they discussed how to create a culture of support for women in all sectors, the role men play in women’s empowerment, and how to encourage the next generation of leaders to create a positive impact in their communities.
