Season’s Greetings!

As we move through the holiday season, our thoughts increasingly turn towards friends, family, and all we have to be grateful for. At The DeBruce Foundation, we are especially thankful for the amazing team we have that works hard each day to help people of all ages build meaningful careers and expand their pathways to growth and economic opportunity. In addition, we want to give thanks to the many Foundation partners we work with who have made it possible to reach the thousands and thousands of people who have accessed our career literacy resources, activated their Agilities, and confidently moved forward on their career journeys.

Our partnerships reach numerous youth development organizations, K-12 school districts, colleges, universities, and local and state-based workforce agencies. Without these partners, the impact we’ve achieved this year with national outreach, career literacy building, and expansion of network and opportunity would not have been possible.

So, to keep up the joy through the holidays, I encourage you to give the gift of Agilities this year. If you’re looking for last-minute presents, Agilities are a great “career stocking stuffer” for anyone – It’s the gift that keeps on giving!

Happy Holidays to you and yours and a sincere thanks for all you continue to do to help people achieve their dreams.

Honoring Linda and Paul DeBruce

Congratulations to Linda and Paul DeBruce who were named Ingram’s 2023 Philanthropist of the Year! Thank you for your decades of generosity to the Kansas City area and beyond.

Agilities Embedded in Programs

MARC Career Expo 2023

Robin Smith, Senior Director, and Kristie Larson, Strategic Relationship Manager, represented The DeBruce Foundation at the Mid-America Regional Council (MARC) Career Expo where there were 3,300 students and teachers from across the KC metro region! The expo provided students with an opportunity to learn more about jobs in the public service sector. Many attendees took the Agile Work Profiler before the event and sported stickers with their top Agilities. The Agilities were incorporated throughout the event connecting students, teachers, and industry professionals. Check out the KCTV5 news story about the event.

Using Agilities to Help Individuals Discover their Power

In this month’s blog, Lilly Coye details how becoming a Certified Agility Coach and utilizing The DeBruce Foundation’s career literacy resources have helped her as a leadership and success coach.

“During the Agility Coach Training, I became more aware of the 10 Agilities, affirmed my Agilities, and learned to lead others to do the same… I learned how to activate my Agilities and teach others how to activate theirs.”
