Hello!

My name is Jake Hipsher, a Strategic Communications Intern at The DeBruce Foundation and a senior at the University of Missouri-Columbia. As back to school season resumes, it is important to recognize how our Agilities© can contribute towards positive learning outcomes.

As I enter the final year of my undergraduate studies, I have reflected on how my Agilities have impacted my professional journey thus far. My top three Agilities – Serving and Caring, Developing Others, and Organizing – have paved the way for me throughout my time at college. While it is important to know your strengths, Agilities outside of your top three can help you engage in effective goal setting. For example, as an intern, how can I grow my Selling and Communicating Agility to best promote the work of The DeBruce Foundation?

By leveraging my Agilities and understanding how they reflect my personal values, I can finetune my skills and market myself in future workspaces. By utilizing my Agilities, I have been able to celebrate my skills while also recognizing possible areas for improvement.

How can Agilities help you grow? Over the course of this school year, how can we use Agilities to empower both students and educators alike?

“The Agilities tools created by The DeBruce Foundation are the missing piece in helping people understand their strengths and how they relate to the workplace,” said Sharrell. Read more from Make48.
