The National Career Pathways Network (NCPN) is dedicated to strengthening the education-to-careers pipeline through Career Pathways, Adult Career Pathways, career and technical education (CTE), and workforce development initiatives.
NCPN Connect 2023 will include inspiring ideas from career pathways across the country, networking with leaders and peers, and takeaways you can put into action when you return home. NCPN Connect 2023 is an outstanding professional development opportunity for secondary and postsecondary educators, adult educators, college and career navigators, workforce development professionals, and employers.
On Thursday, November 9th at 11:15am ET, Robin Smith, Senior Director of The DeBruce Foundation, will lead a session titled, “The Path to Employment Empowerment: Career Literacy + Network Strength.” In this session, she will share The DeBruce Foundation’s original research study defining factors of “employment empowerment,” which translates to higher salaries, more job security, and better benefits. The study identifies two factors over which an individual can have a meaningful degree of control: career literacy and network strength, and how organizations can build these factors to help individuals expand career pathways.
