Join Mid-America Regional Council for the Career Expo 2023!
The region’s fifth Public Service Career Expo will take place November 15, 2023, at Bartle Hall in Kansas City, Missouri. This free, in-person event will allow middle and high-school students to explore high-demand and rewarding career opportunities in local government.
Numerous cities and counties across the bistate region are co-sponsoring the expo, which will feature hands-on, interactive sessions on public sector jobs and information on internships, job shadowing, and volunteer opportunities. Students will have the opportunity to explore careers in administration, information technology, fire/EMS, law enforcement, human services, public health, public works, and the trades.
As part of the event, students will be introduced to The DeBruce Foundation’s Agile Work Profiler, an online career survey designed to help individuals discover their strengths and interests related to work.
