The DeBruce Foundation is privileged to be a partner in Working for Youth, a collaboration to provide paid internships for youth throughout Kansas City. Recently, KCUR 89.3, NPR in Kansas City, featured a story on this initiative:
“As Kansas City grapples with community violence, a new youth internship program is aiming to change the trajectory of at-risk teens. The model has helped cut crime and boost graduation rates in Omaha, and is showing early signs of success here.“
“…The partnership is led by nonprofits KC Common Good, Hire KC and Entrepreneurship KC, with substantial help from the DeBruce Foundation.”
