September is Update Your Resume Month— the perfect time to refresh your professional profile!
I’ve come to see a resume as more than a job-seeker’s tool; it’s a living document that grows with your career. This month, I’m focusing on three essentials:
• Formatting & Clarity: Updating contact information, punctuation, and layout to keep it clean and readable.
• Accomplishments: Adding new projects, roles, and achievements that reflect my growth.
• Skills: Tailoring my skills section to match my current career goals and strengths.
If you’re not sure where to begin, the Practice Writing Your Resume tool is a great place to start.
For me, the DeBruce Career Corps is one of the most valuable additions to my resume. Through mentorship, resources, and learning my Agilities©, I’ve gained the skills and confidence to step into any workplace prepared. Being part of the DeBruce Career Corps shows my growth and commitment to my career journey—proof that I’m ready for what’s next!
