Career Corps

Background

The DeBruce Career Corps is a unique leadership opportunity with The DeBruce Foundation. Established by Kansas City business and civic leader Paul DeBruce, The Foundation is committed to expanding pathways to economic growth and opportunity. We are passionate about working WITH young people to discover the best ways to help others in our community prepare for the future of work.

Who Is Involved? The DeBruce Career Corps includes local high school students (ambassadors) and college students/early career individuals (advisors) from across the country. These young people work alongside the leadership team of The DeBruce Foundation.

Your Role: During DeBruce Career Corps meetings your role will be to help design a model for integrating youth voice into the work of The Foundation and provide your perspective and feedback on specific projects.

Benefits of Participating:

  • Provide valuable input to efforts of The DeBruce Foundation and have regional impact;
  • Learn about tools for career planning and be part of the team to make them better;
  • Gain leadership experience and valuable professional skills that build your resume and help you prepare for the workforce;
  • Network with peers and mentors interested in helping you plan for your future.
