As a full-time consultant to The DeBruce Foundation, Chanelle Zak provides leadership and support in the areas of strategic communications and marketing, digital communications, and public affairs.
Chanelle is driven by her desire to make a difference in her community. Specializing in communications and community engagement, she enjoys strategizing and implementing multifaceted plans to bring a vision to life. Prior to her current role, Chanelle served as Director of Communications and Community Engagement at Bishop Sullivan Center, a direct service agency, where she managed all aspects of their external relations and created a food insecurity simulation.
Chanelle appreciates the intersection of collaboration, data-driven evaluation, and relationships. She earned her B.A. from Rockhurst University and now serves on Rockhurst University’s Board of Trustees. She is a certified nonprofit professional, is an anti-racism trainer, and is fluent in Spanish.
In her free time, you can find Chanelle hiking, kayaking, reading, or spending time with her family. One of her favorite adventures to date was climbing an active volcano.
