Learn key findings of new COVID-19 research study and actionable steps for higher education institutions to better serve adult learners.
Virtual Event – Tuesday, March 2, 2021 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM CST
At this virtual event, the partners of a new study that examines how postsecondary institutions and their adult learners are responding to the COVID-19 crisis will announce findings and share key recommendations.
Between August and October 2020, UMKC’s Urban Education Research Center (UERC) and the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning conducted 18 focus groups with faculty, administrators and adult learners from 16 of the Kansas City Scholars Postsecondary Network network of postsecondary institutions. The study, made possible with support from The DeBruce Foundation, included 82 faculty, staff, and administrators, as well as 61 adult learners.
The study captures the voices of adult learners and highlights 13 actionable steps higher education institutions can take to help them navigate unique challenges and provide needed support now and in the future.
The link to join will be shared with those who RSVP prior to the event. The virtual event is Tuesday, March 2nd. 1:00pm – 2:00pm CST RSVP here.
