The DeBruce Foundation Hosts Free Virtual Roundtable for Employers on Demystifying Virtual Internships
Virtual roundtable of business leaders will share tips for virtual internships, as part of #vShips employers series
Kansas City, MO — What is a virtual internship? Why should companies host one? How can it be done well? Join The DeBruce Foundation on Sept. 24th as they convene a virtual roundtable of business leaders for a discussion on demystifying this workforce opportunity. This roundtable is one in a series of educational events, as part of their vShips initiative.
According to the career site Glassdoor, U.S. internship openings were 49 percent lower than the year prior, as of May 11, a much higher decline than for U.S. job openings, which fell 27 percent. Internships are crucial for building our workforce and connecting individuals with opportunities to succeed.
In line with its mission to expand pathways to economic growth and opportunity, The DeBruce Foundation recently launched vShips – an initiative to equip employers and job seekers to navigate virtual internships. For its second panel in the vShips series, The Foundation is convening leaders from across the nation where they will share their experiences, early lessons, and innovative ideas to continue expanding access to and building our workforce — virtually. This will help demystify virtual internship opportunities for employers and job seekers. Please join us for this important conversation.
