For more than a decade, FIRST® has inspired thousands of young people in Kansas City to become the next generation of leaders and innovators by introducing them to coding, programming and engineering in a collaborative environment with mentors who can share real-world career experiences.

Representatives of The DeBruce Foundation led the opening ceremonies at each of the three regional FIRST Robotics Competition tournaments in our area.

• March 25-26, Greater Kansas City Regional, Lee’s Summit North High School
• April 2-3, Central Missouri Regional, Smith-Cotton High School, Sedalia

This season FRC teams face off in RAPID REACT, a challenge played out in fast-paced robot matches.

In addition, we held an Agilities competition for attendees to nominate someone they spotted using an Agility.
